With a tumultuous life journey from being a waiter to an actor, Boman Irani made an unconventional Bollywood debut at the age of 44. In less than 17 years, this actor extraordinaire has worked in over 70 films, giving us some of the most outstanding performances in Bollywood.
Boman, a film & theatre actor, is widely known for his comedy & antagonist roles in films 'Don', '3 Idiots', 'Munna Bhai MBBS', 'Happy New Year', 'PK', 'Dilwale' & many more.
He trained under acting coach Hansraj Siddhia from 1981 to 1983 & adopted professional acting methods. His play 'I am not Bajirao' was highly successful & ran for ten years.
He also co-hosted the IIFA Awards in Bangkok (2008), Macau (2009), Colombo (2010) and Toronto (2011).

He received the Screen Weekly Awards for ‘Best Performance in Comic Role’ in 2004 for his brilliant performance in ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’. He also received the Star Screen Awards for ‘Best Villain’, Filmfare for ‘Best Supporting Actor’, and IIFA Awards for ‘Best Performance in Negative Role’, all for his work in ‘3 Idiots’. In 2013 he won the ‘Best Actor’ award at the Kalakar Awards for ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’.
